On January 10th Chad & I had a rare double date night with Kate and Jason to celebrate the guys birthdays, which are 3 days apart (Jan 4 & Jan 7). We decided to visit the newly redeveloped Sundance Square and try out Del Frisco's Grille. We had an amazing view from our table overlooking the new plaza and the food was pretty good. The Nutella Bread Pudding dessert was my favorite part. Afterwards, we followed up dinner with a quick drink at Grace. Always classy at Grace, just wish I could find a drink I really love. Chad, Kate and Jason are big fans of the Grace Manhattan.

The weather lately has been yo-yo-ing all over the place. Random days in the 60s or 70s, cold nights most nights, and some really cold days also. On one of the rarer warm days, Carter laid out on the front porch in the sun. Ah, bliss!
Riley went to his friend Eve's birthday party last weekend at Rollerland West. He was very nervous about skating since he's skipped the skating part of all of the past skating parties we have attended, but this time he did it! He got out there and skated with his friends. Sweet boy is growing up!
Last Saturday night Chad & I had another double date night with our brother and sister, Blake & Rebecca. We went to Bob's Steak & Chop House at the Omni, followed by the movie Lone Survivor at Movie Tavern West 7th. It was such a fun night and the weather was amazing. Loved visiting with them and it remind me that we should get together with them more often.
The next morning we all met back up at Deborah and Dexter's for brunch and to pick up the boys.
After brunch Chad took Riley downtown to see Blue Man Group at Bass Hall. Before the show he let Riley play in the Sundance Plaza fountains. Luckily I was able to bring him some dry clothes before the show. What fun!
Riley's school was out last Friday and this Monday and on Monday the boys went to Nana's for the day. Riley was inspired to make brownies from a movie they were watching and it looks like he really played a hand in the baking!
Then both boys helped make a new flag to hang from Nana & Papa's flagpole. Very cool!
