Where in the world have the last few weeks gone? Oh, right. My office moved and that was quite a time sucker. Here's a short re-cap. Two weeks ago, the boys spent the night with Grandmommy & Haha on Wednesday night and they had a picnic. Chad & I finally made it to see Silver Linings Playbook and Riley stayed well!
Riley brought home some intricate drawings from school.
The weekend of the office move I worked Thursday night, all day Friday (when the office was closed), and Saturday for most of the day. Nana really helped me out on Saturday when she let the boys come over so Chad could come up to the new office and hang some shelves for me.
Nana sent me this photo while she was gone. Carter wanted gummies and threw a big 2s/3s fit and Nana insisted he eat a PB&J sandwich first, which he grudgingly did while sitting on the kitchen floor. He gave in, but not all the way.
We ended up bringing Papa dinner that night since they had traded off so Nana could go out and Riley made a burrito of himself before we left.
My dad had been in Waco while Nana watched the boys and on the way home he stopped and picked me up kolaches in West on the way home. Happy you're keeping up with what I love Dad! (And thank you!!!)
On SuperBowl Sunday we went to the Lovelady house to watch the game and eat BBQ, while Riley became king of the crocodiles, with his queen by his side. So regal!
Chad has such a blast picking Riley, Ellie (and sometimes Cara) up from school on Mondays. Last week he took Riley and Ellie for milkshakes. Yum. I want one!
Last weekend, Riley had to work on his first big project for school. It was a stock show project, where he had to present on something he saw at the stock show: an animal or piece of machinery. With our urging, he chose a sheep, so he could bring the sheep's wool he got at the stock show. We made a barn out of a kleenex box and Riley did a super job learning about sheep. I really enjoyed doing this project with him.
Last week Chad's friend Tony stopped by with the coolest things. He brought his very first light plot to show Chad, as well as some gobos that he handmade a long time ago. He also brought Russian toys for the boys. I loved seeing him, Chad and Riley check out the gobos. Such a cool moment looking at history!
Last week the boys had a sleepover again and this time Wyatt joined them for the first time! Cousin sleepover!
The little guys bathed together (we were trying to kill the yeast infection on Riley so he had to bathe separate....yes, Riley caught it from Carter....would have been good to know they shouldn't be bathing together! And now Carter's is trying to come back.....it's quite the determined little infection!) and then Carter tried to put Riley in a box while Wyatt looked on and looked very concerned!
On Saturday Liz and Zach came over in the morning so Chad & Kate could head to Dallas for a KWC show. I then loaded the kids up later and drove them to Dallas to see the show and then we all went to the Perot Museum in Dallas and it was so cool!
The museum is a MUST see!
That night we dropped all 4 kids off at Nana & Papa's for a sleepover while Chad & I went to Ruth's Chris for my birthday dinner with Kate & Jason.
On Sunday we picked the boys up and went to Lucile's for brunch and then to the grocery. Then I went to get my nails done with Kate and then we met Nana & Papa at Joe T's for my birthday dinner. It was also Riley's 1/2 birthday so he got a candle to blow out also, while Carter helped me with mine.
I'm pretty wiped from the move weekend and then our first week in the new office, followed by my birthday weekend. Next weekend is Carter's party, so doesn't look like things are slowing down any time soon.
If my mom was reading your blog, she would tell you that there are too many pictures. Also. EHRMAGAHD. THAT'S DEXTER!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen my mom used to print my blog out each week for my Grammy to read, she also complained there were too many pictures.....must be a mom thing! Pinky promise me we won't become those kind of moms!!
