We started the month of November by welcoming Riley's class mascot, Busy Bee, and the class pet gerbil, Sunny to our home for the weekend. Riley had to journal about where he took Busy Bee so they went on many adventures.

The first weekend in November was the Lily B Chili Cook-Off. Chad & Jason were competing in the cook-off and they won FIRST PLACE!
The Fire Department came to judge the chili and gave the kids a tour of their fire truck.
Holiday decor started to go up at my work and I'm super pleased with the wrapped trees at WestBend!
Kate took the kids to do fun things both after school and on the Monday of Thanksgiving Break (more on that below).
I had lunch with Carter for the first time this year. It was super fun and he sweetly laid down with his head in my lap once he was done eating and we snuggled for a moment.
Chad designed some new pieces for dance company, Bruce Wood Dance Project, in Dallas.
Chad volunteered for PAL Duty up at Lily B and got to play with the Carter on the playground.
Zachary spent the night with us and Chad took the boys to MELT for dessert.
Kate took the kids on an adventure to ICE at The Gaylord. Brrrr. 9 degrees inside.
Chad & I took Kate & Jason to the Thanksgiving Cowboys Game.
Kate & Jason took Chad & I to the TCU/Baylor Game the next night. It was so cold! 38 degrees, felt like 30 and constant rain. I had six hand warmers on and many, may layers. We left at halftime and watched the 2nd half and 2 OTs at Kate & Jason's where it was much warmer. And TCU WON!
While we were at the game, Carter lost his first tooth! He was spending the night at Nana & Papa's so the tooth fairy waited to visit until the next night. The next visit won't be far off as he has 3 more loose teeth!
The weekend was spent snuggled up inside reading books and playing Minecraft.
But we did venture out for brunch at Cafe Brazil and the boys got these enormous hot chocolates. YUM.
