Katharina helped me out tonight and shared with me some pictures from her trip so far. Here are the boys at Joe T Garcia's two weeks ago.
On Friday Chad & I went on a double date with Katharina and Lucas. We started out the night at Sushi Axiom for dinner and then went to Movie Tavern to see the final Harry Potter movie. We waited in line about an hour and a half and we met another couple in line and I bonded with the wife over all sorts of things that we had in common and ended up making a new friend in the process. Then it was time for the movie. It was 3D and we got to don these cool shades:

On Saturday we woke up and Chad headed to TCU to play kick ball with Kids Who Care. I slept in a bit more and then went to pick the boys up at Nana & Papa's and took them up to TCU after. It was really hot in the indoor practice arena, but we had fun and both teams Chad played on won! Afterwards, I picked up Chicken Express and brought it home for lunch. Then we all napped or rested (which was soooo nice!) and when everyone woke up we got ready and went to Mike & Christina's for Mike's Birthday Party. We had a great time swimming and visiting and grilling. It was a LOT of fun! Riley even got to show everyone his new swimming skills.
The boys were so tired after the party that they fell asleep on the way home and stayed asleep even when we put them into bed. It was amazing!
On Sunday morning we got up and went to the grocery store. Then we all went to lunch at Lucile's with Grammy, Nana & Papa. Grammy is doing so well and if you haven't read my mom's blog lately, you should. Grammy's doc is calling her the "poster child" of radiation! How cool!
After lunch Chad headed to his office to work and I took the boys home to nap while Katharina and Lucas went to North East Mall. The boys both napped (which is rare these days with my non-napper, Riley) and I was able to get laundry done and read and clean and it felt really good and relaxing!
For dinner last night Katharina and Lucas made us a dinner of stuffed peppers and cous cous. Both were really good and Carter LOVED the cous cous! He just kept stuffing it in his mouth. It was so funny! We wished we had gotten a picture of how much he loved it and how much of a HUGE mess he made!
Tonight we ate leftovers for dinner and then Carter was excited because he got to play with his new love Play Doh before bath time. He loves his Play Doh so much. When he knew I was taking pictures he gave me this great big smile!

Riley was all smiles today too. He wore his lobster shirt to school and told me that he was a lobster all day today.

I love it when my boys are so happy and full of smiles. Carter is also learning new words daily and now says "up" very clearly, and tonight we were teaching him to say "open" when he wanted a new Play Doh opened. He's gonna be speaking sentences in no time!
