Carter got to move up to a new class at school this week. He is very excited to be back with his buddies Holden & Stella and he was in a really happy mood last night, which made me think that he must be happy at school. While we were rocking last night he kept touching his nose to mine and giggling uncontrollably. It was so awesome and it made my heart swell up with happiness. I wonder where he learned this funny trick from....probably Holden!
Last week before the move, Holden's mom sent me the following pictures. The first is Logan, Carter and Holden at the breakfast table at school in the morning. Now that Carter has moved up he is starting every morning at the breakfast table and will have 2nd (and sometimes even 3rd) breakfast! The boy loves to eat! Unlike Riley who heads straight outside to play each morning.
At the end of the same day, Holden's mom sent me the next photo. Again, Logan, Carter and Holden. They are looking into the old fish tank and yes, Holden has his head resting on Carter's shoulder. So sweet!
On Friday Carter spent the night with my mom and we went to the Fort Worth Cats Game with Katharina, Lucas and our friend Dave, who flew in from Florida earlier that day to surprise Chad & Katharina. Riley had a great time at the game. He ate a hot dog, drank blue Powerade, ate blue cotton candy and he ran the bleachers more than any kid I know. He also had fun looking for Dodger, the Cats mascot. After the game they let the kids run the bases on the field and Riley did it all by himself! It was so cute to watch him run his little heart out!

On Saturday morning Chad had to go in to work and we got up and lazed around the house. Dave & I shared a pot of coffee while Katharina made a German dessert for the International Dinner we had later that night. Dave got his morning workout in by lifting Riley, rocket-ship style, around the kitchen.

Riley wanted to go play at Nana's so we took him over there while all of us adults ran errands. Our most important errand was to go buy a slip n slide to play on that afternoon. After we bought it we picked up Riley and Carter and went home to slip and slide! Carter napped through all the fun, but Riley had a blast being pulled down the slide by both Dave and Lucas. Again, Dave got quite the workout! Even Katharina and I took tuns down the slip and slide.
After our fun in the yard, we got cleaned up and went to the KWC International Dinner. It was nice to eat with everyone and Chad got to join us there. We had a chill night catching up with Dave at home afterwards. On Sunday we went to Lucile's for lunch and then the boys went to Nana & Papa's while we went grocery shopping and then hung out at the house after. I have more pictures that Katharina took, but I need to get them from her and then get them uploaded to here. Here's a little teaser of a photo she took with Dave's camera. So cute!
