Riding the Train with Nana!

Last Sunday the weather was GORGEOUS! Chad had to head to work in Denton so after the boys woke up from their naps I decided to take them on a ride in the wagon they got for Christmas.

We had a great ride down the block and on our way back the Loveladys called and wanted to know if we wanted to meet at the park. We did so instead of heading home we headed with our wagon to the park where Uncle Jason helped swing the kids.

The little boys hung out in the wagon and played with toys.

On Monday my work was closed for President's Day. We took the boys to school because I was going to spend some time with Mom and Grammy. We first took Grammy to get a CT scan of her throat and then we went to lunch together at Red Lobster. Finally we finished up at Sears doing a little shopping. It was so fun to have some girl time with family. Living with 3 guys, I forget how nice it is to have girl time with my family. After Mom & I dropped Grammy off at home we went and picked the boys up from school and took them to ride the Forest Park Mini Train.

This was Nana's first time to ride the train with us and we had a GREAT time!

On Thursday the unbelievable happened and my baby turned 1 year old! We started off our morning at Bluebonnet Bakery for breakfast. We enjoyed donuts that were still warm from the oven!

We also picked up some petit fours for Carter to share with his class. On Tuesday he got moved up to the Walkers class at school. He is really enjoying being with these "bigger" kids and his new teachers were sweet enough to take photos of the kids celebrating Carter's birthday.

(I love how none of the kids have touched their petit fours except for Carter and his is already in his mouth!)

(Don't steal your friend's food Carter!)

(Mmmm! Mmmm! Purple icing face!)

On Thursday night Nana & Papa came over to celebrate Carter (and Jake's) birthdays. I made a pot roast with vegetables and Nana & Papa brought cornbread and cupcakes. Carter was really tired that day. His new class only takes one nap a day instead of two and so he was really sleepy that night. He was not interested in having any part of dinner or cupcakes, but we sang to him anyway!

And Nana blew out a candle for Jake.

Yesterday we spent the evening prepping for Carter's birthday party with Grandmommy & Haha. They were sweet enough to take us out to dinner after too! I'll have to give Carter's party it's own separate blog post to give it proper coverage!

Happy Birthday to my sweet son Carter and of course Happy Birthday to my brother, Jake. We miss you Jake and hope you had a stellar party in Heaven!
