Carter's Circus Party!

For Carter's circus party I attempted to get crafty and make some of the decorations. I made this sign for the door and also a Happy Birthday banner. I think they turned out pretty good for my first try!

The party favors were plastic popcorn buckets with a circus rubber duck inside, along with a small jrae's sugar cookie and a package of cotton candy, all tied up with a balloon. They were a BIG hit, with kiddos young and old!

Here is Carter's present stash! We are so blessed to have so many generous people in our lives!

Carter was not interested in the hot dog lunch we provided and just wanted out of his high chair!

We thought maybe it was the sun, so we tried sunglasses. I think his eyelashes are too long and brushed the lenses, so those came off rather quickly.

Then Bonkers the Clown arrived to do his show! He was really entertaining for the kids and the adults.

Grandmommy put her 3D glasses on for Bonkers!

The best part was Bonker's finale when he made a live rabbit appear!

Then all the kids got to pet the rabbit if they wanted!

Liz even got her own stool so she could see the rabbit better!

Then it was time for cake.

Carter was much more interested in eating the candle though.

He did finally get some cake in his mouth!

And some on his clothes, so we ended up changing.

Then it was time for presents. All the big kids were more than willing to help Carter open and try out his presents!

Zachary is feeling much better by the way!

Then everyone got their favors and people started to head home.

It was a great, but long day! We loved spending time with all of our friends and family celebrating Carter's first birthday.

And before I forget, on Friday Carter went to the doctor for his 1 year check up. He weighed 22.12 lbs (55%) 28.5 inches long (10%) and was 80% on his head. He got 4 shots and when he had to get his finger pricked he didn't cry for the second time! He is so brave!
