First Swim of the Season

A few weeks ago, class photos were taken at the boys' school. The photographer they use is really great! Here is Carter's class.

And here is Riley's class. (Riley is on the top row, in the middle with the royal blue shirt on)

The photographer also took some candids and here is a sweet one of Riley and his class loving on their teacher, Ms Michelle.

Tuesday night was t-ball practice and it did not go well. Riley was excited to play with his friends until the second that the coach blew his whistle to start practice and then Riley lost his mind. He would not play, he cried and eventually we left. I gave him lots of chances to play and even tried a few bribes, but eventually we told him we had to go, much to his dismay. We've talked about it a lot and Papa will be there to help this next week, so hopefully it will be better.

On Wednesday night, Chad & I went to get massages for our anniversary present for each other. It was so nice!

On Thursday I had WARM Place and Chad took the boys to Chick Fil A for "Boys Night." Carter can now climb all the way up the play thing and go down the slide. Chad sent me this great photo of them having fun!

On Friday night Chad had to work so I took the boys to Nana & Papa's after work. We played and ate dinner with them before heading home for bathtime and bedtime.

On Saturday morning Papa went with me and the boys to get the boys' hair cut. They both got super cute haircuts, which you can see in the photos below. They cut all of Carter's curls off again, but knowing him, they'll grow back again. Later in the day Carter's hair looked red in the sun. I haven't noticed that on him since he was a little baby!

After haircuts, we went and dropped off Papa and picked up Nana to go to Mayfest. We had a great time at Mayfest. Riley bounced in a lot of bounce houses and he played on the playground at Trinity Park. Carter did great riding in the wagon for most of it and he also rode the pony ride twice, which he LOVED! He was just squirming in my arms when we waited in line for the ponies, he was so excited. Riley's favorite ride was a huge shark bounce house slide. He rode it at least 6 times and squealed with glee every time he came down it. It was amazing!

After Mayfest, Nana & I were pooped and HOT, so we took the boys home for naps, which they then didn't want to take. Eventually, we met up with Chad for dinner and went by the theater for a bit when we dropped Chad off.

Today we got up and I got a great Starbucks gift card as a present from my boys. I then went to the grocery store and then we headed to my parents house for lunch. My dad grilled and Grammy and Kip came over and even Chad was able to join us before he had to go to work. After lunch my Dad took this great photo of us with Grammy. 4 generations!

After lunch Mom & I went to see Water For Elephants. We had both read the book and we really enjoyed the movie.

After the movie we headed back to Nana & Papa's house and found out that Riley hadn't really napped. We headed out back so he could practice t-ball with Papa and then Riley convinced Nana to get the swimming pool out and so the boys had their first swim of the season. They had a blast!

I had a great Mothers Day with my boys and was so happy to get to spend so much of it with my mom!
